Northwest Cape Coral property owners recently voted on whether to add underground power lines. The city thought it might be a good idea to add underground power lines while the roads were torn up during the upcoming utility extension project which will add city water and sewer lines. The property owners voted against the underground power lines by two-thirds of the vote, most likely due to the estimated cost of $5,000-$7,000 per household, in addition to the utility expansion cost.
Did you know…??? Over 1,000 Northwest Cape owners returned ballots.
Did you know…??? The city may approach the subject for the next section to go through the utility extension project.
