Pros of buying a home in a gated community:
- All of the homes are consistant in colors, design.
- There are usually rules regarding landscaping, architecture, and pets.
- Some communities include lawn mowing & cable in the fees.
- There may be amenities such as a pool, tennis/pickleball courts, fitness center, social activities, etc.
- There is a gate so only owners & visitors may enter community.
Cons of buying a home in a gated community:
- There are fees.
- There may be amenities that you don't use but pay for them in your fees.
