Things To Do in Cape Coral-Bike Riding

Veteran's Parkway Bike Path

Due to the flat nature of the land in Florida, bike riding is an ideal outdoor activity. It is even a better activity to do in Cape Coral due to over 120 miles of bike lanes, bike paths, and multi-use paths the city has provided. There is a 49 mile circular route around the perimeter of the city. An online guide and map is available for viewing and printing. Sufside Bike Lane

There are seven dedicated bike routes with signage that are explained in detail on Cape Coral’s website. The longest route is the Physician’s Primary Care route (PPC) which is approximately 30 miles and is in the northern part of the 49 mile circular route. One of the highlights along the way is Seahawk Park, where you may see miniature airplanes flying. You’ll also pass Coral Oaks Golf Course and Joe Stonis Park of which both have restroom facilities. The shortest route is 2.8 miles and is called the Yacht Club Spur. It is in the Southeast Cape and takes you to none other than the wonderful Yacht Club Community ParkLandscaped median on Surfside

The city buses have a bike rack in the front so you can take your bike to other areas.  You can combine bike riding with kayaking, walking, tennis, and other activities. The city hosts Tour de Cape each January. Take time to enjoy our beautiful city via a bike in the near future. View from Surfside of Maxine Canal
