If you’re looking for something to do this weekend you should check out these two events in Cape Coral.
Irish Festival—Saturday, February 28, 2015 11:00 am-10:00 pm and Sunday, March 1, 2015 11:00 am-8:00 pm at Sun Splash Family Waterpark. Irish food, dance and music will be available to provide a look into the Irish culture. Beer and wine will also be sold. Games, face painting, dance instruction, and a Sunday Mass are scheduled. Admission for the Irish Festival at 400 Santa Barbara Blvd is $6 for adults; children 12 and under are free. This 11th annual event is hosted by the Cape Coral Irish American Club.
Taste of the Cape—Although only in its second year, organizers expect this year’s event to be a big hit. Over 20 local restaurants will provide their signature dishes. Craft beer and wine will also be available. Food and drink prices will range from $3-$8. Local schools and studios will perform throughout the day. Gulf Coast Symphony will perform a sunset concert beginning at 4:30. Artists will have booths set up and their work for sale. Gates are open from noon until 6:00 on Sunday, March 1, for Taste of the Cape at Four Freedoms Park located at 4818 Tarpon Ct. Admission is FREE.
