The featured movie this month is “The Croods”. It is a DreamWorks animated film that was released in 2013. The film is a comedy about a prehistoric family taking a road trip following the destruction of their cave. Some of the voices you’ll hear are Nicholas Cage, Emma Stone, and Ryan Reynolds. The film is rated PG and run time is 1 hour and 38 minutes. It will begin at dusk (about 8:00 pm). Bring your chairs or blankets. Refreshments will be available for purchase but the event is FREE. Movie in the Park is Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Jaycee Park.
Jaycee Park is located at the end of Beach Parkway at 4215 SE 20th Place, just north of Cape Coral Parkway. The park consists of 8 acres right along the bank of the Caloosahatchee River. The park features a walking trail, picnic tables, two age appropriate playgrounds, exercise station, pet waste pick-up stations, grills, and big grassy areas for free play. A gazebo and 2 shelters may be reserved for special events.
The residents in the condos along Beach Parkway, SE 20th Place, and the other nearby streets are able to walk or bike over and enjoy the beautiful park. Others visiting from around town will find plenty of parking spots.
