CAPE CORAL, FL For 2019, Cape Coral Gulf Access Home sales saw a gain 193 units which is an increase of 20% in sales volume over 2018. The median sales price of a Cape Coral Gulf Access home rose in 2019 by 2% to $435,000.

Things To Do in Cape Coral-Beach

Yes, Cape Coral does have a beach! With all of the preserves and homes along the Cape Coral coastline you would think there isn’t room for a beach but if you travel south on Coronado Pkwy (which turns into Lucerne Pkwy and then Driftwood Pkwy) you will run right into the beach. It is located in the historic area at the southern tip of the cape in the Yacht Club Community Park at 5819 Driftwood Pkwy.

The park features a beach, pier, boat ramp, marina, pool, tennis and racquetball courts and has plenty of free parking. Although the beach is narrow and only about 700 feet long you get a great view of the Caloosahatchee River and the sound of the waves lapping onto the shore. A playground sits right on the beach with a nice tarp to offer shade for the kids. Several benches are also available in the shade. This beach provides a quick beach fix for those that don’t have time to travel to Ft Myers Beach or Sanibel Island. 

The long pier is also free of charge and has plenty of room for walkers and fishermen, alike. It is located next to The Boathouse Tiki Bar & Grill, which has tables with the same gorgeous view as the beach and even has chairs right on the beach. The Tony Rotino Senior Center is located in the park, also. 

Although the beach bathroom facilities do not appear to have been updated since they were built in 1958, that will be the least of your concerns as you focus on the view of the boats, water, and surrounding homes. An enclosed pavilion was recently removed to allow more beach room. The ballroom, which is adjacent to the pool, is available for rental and is the location of the monthly New Resident Club of Cape Coral  meetings.

Take the time to visit the Yacht Club Community Park soon. You’ll be glad you did!
