33rd Annual American Sand Sculpting Championship

Fort Myers Beach 

The 33rd Annual American Sand Sculpting Championship at Fort Myers Beach is underway! The event takes place through Dec 1, 2019 and is located behind the Wyndham Garden Hotel (6890 Estero Blvd). You can buy a wristband for $8 (4 and under are free). Free parking and shuttle service are available at Lover’s Key (8700 Estero Blvd) but $10+ parking spots are also available near the hotel. Hours are 10 am - 5 pm.

Award winning completed sculptures, works in progress, and amateur displays are there to view. Demonstrations, lessons, live music, vendors, food and drink are also available.

Tour de Cape 2020

Do you want to get some exercise while taking in views like this one of our beautiful city?

Register now for the 29th annual Tour de Cape in Cape Coral!

The 5k run/walk is on Saturday, January 18, 2020, along with the family/kid bike ride. The Tour de Cape bicycle ride is on Sunday, January 19, 2020.  Bike routes are set up for 15, 30, 62, and 100 miles throughout the southwest and northwest Cape. Maps and routes are online.

Installing a Solar Electric System for your SW Florida Home is easy and it will save you money! We installed our solar electric system for our home in SW Cape Coral at the end of the summer in 2019. We actually turned the system on and started generating solar electricity on Sept 11, 2019. Look at what we are saving. Our electric bill for Oct 2019 & Nov 2019 is $21.69 plus we have produced more electric than we have actually used!

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS....💓

Life can take some funny turns - It is easy to get lulled by the everyday "normal" business.  But when a crisis occurs or change bursts on the scene, it causes me to wake up and remember what REALLY matters.  FAMILY 👪 FAITH 🙏 FRIENDS 🙋

When I arise in the morning, the first item on my agenda is to read my Bible, do a daily devo of some sort, eat breakfast and get dressed (not necessarily in that order).  This is mandatory and I can always tell if I have not done that first because the rest of my day is haphazard and lacks energy.  This time is so special to me and has given me the ability to keep "the agenda" in focus.  🌸

My philosophy has always been that the HOME is best when it is a REFUGE.  I think organization, function and pleasing aesthetics all play their part in setting the stage for a PEACEFUL RESPITE.  Life is not easy.  Each day is a challenge.  I am thankful that our home has been a place of rejuvenation for myself, my children, my husband, visiting guests, neighbors and friends.  After all, these are the things that REALLY matter.  💛
